 Solar Fields
Hey everyone, I just came across this amazing album last night by a band called Solar Fields. I scrolled through this topic, but didn't see anything on them, so I started a new one.
So far, amazing stuff. It's a two-part download (everyone's favorite right?)
I found here: http://bolachasgratis.blogspot.com/
The downloads:
Part 1: http://rapidshare.com/files/71094041/S_F_-_E-WEB-2007-XF.part1.rar
Part 2: http://rapidshare.com/files/71094871/S_F_-_E-WEB-2007-XF.part2.rar
Last.fm page: http://www.last.fm/music/Solar+Fields/+wiki
As much as this first track sounds clubbish, it's just too good at the same time.

I've had a shuffle playlist going for a good portion of the day, and every time this comes on I can't help but be in a flat out good mood.

Haha, yea that's awesome. I noticed it got really repetitive near the end, I need to give that another go again. I remember liking the first song a lot.

 Re: Solar Fields
Sorry for the nearly two year bump. I've been listening to the new album, Movements, on and off for about four weeks now and moreso this week especially (I have to review it). I highly recommend anyone interested in his work or of this interesting genre of 'psybient' to check out the album. It's got decent stand alone tracks, such as Sol and Discovering. I think the only other stuff I listen to in this genre is Younger Brother, whose song "All I Want" is a personal favorite. For all you gamers out there, he recently did his first score for a video game: Mirror's Edge, the trailer for the game looked really neat too. PsybientThere's a good video on YouTube for 'Sol' live in Europe I think, but I can't get on YT at work to post it here. It features some other dude doing some vocals on it.

I love Earthshine and Blue Moon Station. Great stuff.

Great review Brett. I'm just checking out Sol on myspace right now.
